01Who we are

Kindly Invite (kindlyinvite.com) is operated by {{LEGAL_ENTITY}}, registration number {{REGISTRATION_NUMBER}}, {{ADDRESS}}, {{COUNTRY}} (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@kindlyinvite.com.

“You” means the person who creates or buys an invitation (the host). “Guests” are the people you send it to. By creating a draft or placing an order you accept these terms. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.

02What we provide

We make interactive invitation websites for weddings and other celebrations. Each invitation lives at its own web address, opens with a wax-seal animation, and can include RSVP, a countdown, map, schedule, music, photos and the other sections described on our website at the time you order. There are three ways to buy:

  • Design it yourself. You build the invitation yourself in our editor and publish it when ready.
  • We design it for you. You send us your details and a designer sets it up, with two rounds of revisions.
  • Made from scratch. A design made around your brief, with revisions until you approve it.

Prices, what each option includes and delivery times are shown on the website and at checkout. The version shown when you pay is the one that applies to your order.

03Ordering and payment

Prices are in euros and paid once. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Our online reseller, Dodo Payments, is the merchant of record for every order: it takes the payment, issues your receipt or invoice, and calculates and collects any VAT or sales tax due in your country. Its own buyer terms apply to the payment itself. We never see or store your full card details.

Your order is confirmed once the payment succeeds. You then receive an email with the link to your invitation and the private link to your dashboard. Keep the dashboard link to yourself: anyone who has it can edit the invitation and read the replies.

04Delivery and revisions

A self-made invitation goes live as soon as you publish it. For designed invitations, the delivery time starts when we have everything we need from you (names, date, venue, photos, wording). If something is missing we will ask, and the clock pauses until you reply.

A revision is a set of changes you send together. Fixing a mistake we made never counts as a revision. Once you approve the design, further edits to text, times and details are still possible in the editor at any time.

If we ever miss a promised delivery time on a paid express order, we refund the express fee without you having to ask.

05How long your invitation stays live

Your invitation stays online for 12 months from the date of payment. You can edit it, add guests and download replies throughout that period. After it ends, the invitation goes offline and we delete it, with its guest list, replies and uploads, within 30 days. Download anything you want to keep before then.

We aim to keep every invitation available around the clock, but like any website it can occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or because of an outage at one of our providers. If your invitation is down for more than 24 hours in a row through our fault, tell us and we will extend your live period or refund you, whichever you prefer.

06Your content

The names, words, photos and music you add remain yours. You give us permission to store, resize and display them only as needed to run your invitation. We will not use your invitation, photos or names in our marketing unless you say yes in writing first.

You are responsible for what you publish. Please only upload material you have the right to use, which includes:

  • photos you took or have permission to share, including permission from the people in them;
  • music you have the right to play to your guests (a song you bought for personal listening may not cover this);
  • guest names and details you collected for the purpose of inviting them.

If we receive a credible complaint that content infringes someone’s rights, we may remove that content and will tell you why.

07Fair use

Invitations are for real personal or private events. Please do not use them to:

  • publish anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or meant to harass someone;
  • collect passwords, payment details or other sensitive data from guests;
  • send spam, run a business directory or advertise third-party products;
  • probe, overload or copy the service, its code or its designs.

If an invitation breaks these rules we may take it offline. Where the problem can be fixed we will contact you first. If we close an invitation for a serious breach, no refund is due.

08Our designs

Our themes, illustrations, animations, code and brand belong to us or our licensors. Buying an invitation gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the design for your event, including screenshots and a printed copy for your own keepsakes. It does not allow you to resell the design, reuse it for other events, or copy it elsewhere. A design made from scratch for you will not be sold to anyone else in the same form.

09Cancellations and refunds

Our refund policy explains when you can cancel and how much you get back. It forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.

10Liability

We take care to build something that works on the most important day of your year. Even so, an invitation is a communication tool and you remain responsible for checking the details you publish (dates, addresses, times) and for following up with guests who have not replied.

Where the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as missed bookings or venue costs. We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. The version in force on the day you paid applies to your order. If a change affects an invitation that is already live in a meaningful way, we will email you about it in advance.

12Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of {{COUNTRY}}. If you are a consumer living in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country and may bring a claim in your local courts. Please write to us first: almost every problem is solved faster by email than by any formal process.
